Arduino

Breadboards, sensors and C++. The point where students stop using kits and start building circuits.

Arduino class in progress at Advaspire

Arduino is the microcontroller platform that the maker world runs on, and it is deliberately unforgiving in a useful way: nothing is pre-wired, so students learn what a circuit actually is. They read datasheets, wire their own breadboards, and write C++ that runs directly on the chip. Projects move from a blinking LED to sensors, motors and displays working together. Students who have been through Advasbot arrive knowing what they want to build; this is where they learn to build it without a kit.

What they walk away with

01

A circuit they designed and wired themselves, working.

02

C++ on real hardware, with the constraints that come with it.

03

The habit of reading documentation rather than waiting to be told.

C# and the engine behind a large share of the mobile games your child already plays.

Raspberry Pi Soon

A full Linux computer the size of a card — where robotics stops being a kit and becomes a system.
